“We will create a social community website to break down the difficulties and obstacles of bringing your project and startup ideas to life.”
On the internet today there are many more entrepreneurial opportunities for business or creative minded people to take advantage of than there were as recently as five years ago. This has been driven largely by the current trend for digital startups, apps and plugins. Many large companies offer platforms for individuals to make money relatively quickly and easily by designing, building and selling their own apps and plugins. These include, but are by no means limited to: The Apple App Store, Facebook and WordPress.
This trend for app and plugin building has lead to a change in people’s mndset, which, inturn, has lead to increased funding for startups, more people willing to invest in startups and a great increase in the amount of people able to or willing to freelance. People who have found inspiration but do not necessarily have the means or ability to realize their ideas can now easily outsource programming, design work and even content writing making the world of internet business for flexible and therefore more accessible to the everyman.
There are many different websites offering various aspects of internet business solutions. LinkedIn, for example is a brilliant networking tool. With over 150 million active users from a myriad of industries the networking possibilities seem almost endless. Another example is Crowdspring, this site gives businesses, or those trying to start a business access to over 109,670 creatives that they can outsource any work that they do not have an in-house team for. It also gives programmers, copywriters and designers a place to showcase themselves and build up their own portfolios. Crowdspring is just one of many sites such as elance.com, guru.com and freelancer.com, that provide a meeting place for companies and freelancers and more appear on a regular basis, this is obviously a flourishing market.
All of these sites are exceedingly helpful when trying to create a successful startup, but they are all lacking insofar as there are no sites that really offer it all. There is no site for a person with an idea to go and get help with everything from writing a business plan, to gaining funding, to creating an online team and be able to create it, with help, in one place.
Enter CrowdSquare. – “An exciting social business site for networking & collaborating on any project from plugins to startups.”
CrowdSquare aim to become the social business site for networking & collaborating on any project from plugins to start ups.
Users can find programmers, designers, marketers, investors and more. They can read all their info, check out other projects they work on and even see how they rate on sites like LinkedIn and Klout before deciding to collaborate with them.
Once users have added their project they can start finding people to work on it with them, collaborators will find them if the project looks interesting enough. Or if the user prefers, they can just bring their skill-set to the table and join in with other projects.
This new website will combine all the required tools to create the internet’s first true social business website. Users will be able to:
- add multiple projects and specify exactly what they need.
- register their business.
- find investors.
- invest in other projects.
- invest/receive investment funding directly through the site.
- find all required digital talent.
- offer collaborators wages, one off fees or a percentage of their project.
- project manage from within the site, communicating directly and privately with collaborators.
- rate and review collaborators.
- rate and review project.
- join other projects.
- receive and make payments.
- discuss, share and post information/projects with full social functionality.
- manage press releases about the development of the project.
- create alpha and beta versions for testing and releasing for focus group feedback.
- create company pages.
There are huge opportunities these days for anyone to create an internet plugin, app, website or entire startup. There are investor sites, crowd-sourcing sites, freelancer setups, project management tools and social networks. One thing is noticeably lacking though: a hub to find all the right people and from which to build your project. It seems that CrowdSquare may be the solution.
You can get your name down now to take part in the forthcoming beta version by visiting www.crowdsquare.net.
Chances are CrowdSquare will become an invite only setup during the beta version so now’s the time to get involved.
